NEWS-01: Charitable Foundation bulletin

Shipmates:

The first Tuesday after Thanksgiving has become known as #GivingTuesday.  This is a day to recognize the charitable organizations which you support.  Over the past few years, this day has become a significant source of fundraising for virtually every charitable nonprofit, including your US Submarine Veterans Charitable Foundation.  www.ussvcf.org

Most of us know about our Scholarship Fund activity, which has awarded nearly 1,000 scholarships over the past several years.  Just in the past two years, we have awarded 115 scholarships totaling $225,000.

Our Brotherhood Fund has supported many shipmates in need with disbursements in excess of $75,000 over the past ten years.

Our Kap(SS4Kid(SS) program has visited over 25,000 children in need in the past several years.
